PRECAUTIONS General Treatment with VIDAZA is associated with neutropenia and thrombocytopenia. Complete blood counts should be performed as needed to monitor response and toxicity, but at a minimum, prior to each dosing cycle. After administration of the recommended dosage for the first cycle, dosage for subsequent cycles should be reduced or delayed based on nadir counts and hematologic response as described in DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION. Safety and effectiveness of VIDAZA in patients with MDS and hepatic or renal impairment have not been studied as these patients were excluded from the clinical trials. Because azacitidine is potentially hepatotoxic in patients with severe preexisting hepatic impairment, caution is needed in patients with liver disease. Patients with extensive tumor burden due to metastatic disease have been rarely reported to experience progressive hepatic coma and death during azacitidine treatment, especially in such patients with baseline albumin 30 g L. Azacitidine is contraindicated in patients with advanced malignant hepatic tumors. See CONTRAINDICATIONS. ; Renal abnormalities ranging from elevated serum creatinine to renal failure and death have been reported rarely in patients treated with intravenous azacitidine in combination with other chemotherapeutic agents for nonMDS conditions. In addition, renal tubular acidosis, defined as a fall in serum bicarbonate to 20 mEq L in association with an alkaline urine and hypokalemia serum potassium 3 mEq L ; developed in 5 patients with CML treated with azacitidine and etoposide. If unexplained reductions in serum bicarbonate 20 mEq L or elevations of BUN or serum creatinine occur, the dosage should be reduced or held as described in DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION. Patients with renal impairment should be closely monitored for toxicity since azacitidine and its metabolites are primarily excreted by the kidneys. See DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION section. ; Information for Patients Patients should inform their physician about any underlying liver or renal disease. Women of childbearing potential should be advised to avoid becoming pregnant while receiving treatment with VIDAZA. Men should be advised to not father a child while receiving treatment with VIDAZA.
Azacitidine suspension
Breast liposuction can give dramatic results and offer significant advantages over surgical reduction. Unlike traditional approaches, breast liposuction does not require glandular resection and movement of the nippleareola complex on a local pedicle. Thus, the inverted Tshaped scar is avoided, and scars after lipectomy are virtually undetectable if the inframammary axillary line approach is used. Since there is no cutting of breast tissue, more vessels, nerves, parenchyma and supporting connective tissue are left intact so there is minimal disturbance to sensation and lactation. From the standpoint of the surgeon, no pedicle, flap or dissection is required, and no parenchymal structures are transected. There is a consequent dramatic decrease in reported complications with liposuction alone compared to excisional breast reduction, which can in as many as 5060% of patients induce infection, bleeding, hematoma, seroma, wound dehiscence, skin necrosis, hypertrophic scars or keloids, poor breast shape, loss or alteration of sensation, or inability to breast-feed. Since liposuction is a minimally invasive outpatient procedure performed under local anesthesia, postoperative wound care is minimal and recovery time is brief. Maintenance of the architecture of the breast, including neurologic, vascular, and glandular structures, results in preservation of sensation and symmetry.
Postnatal care of the mother and baby affected by drug use is very important8, 9. Approaches to the overall care of the baby which are seen by the mother to be ineffective or punitive may lead to greater alienation of the mother and poor outcomes for herself and her infant. The postnatal period offers an opportunity for the: Facilitation of mother-baby relationship; Assessment of maternal wellbeing and parenting skills; Discharge planning meeting held with the multi-disciplinary team, community care providers and parents. When the written discharge plan is completed it should be circulated to all parties, and; Report of any child protection concerns to DoCS.

Race and age showed no association with BTP. Female gender, increased height, decreased weight, high serum albumin and low serum creatinine concentrations were independently associated with lower serum BTP concentrations. Amritsar were studied to know the spectrum of acute poisoning in this part of the country. The time span for this study was one year, starting from 1st Sept. 2000 to 31st Aug. 2001. Out of 153 patients 100 were male 65.3% ; and 53 females 34.7% ; having male and female ratio of 1.2: 1.0. The peak incidence of acute poisoning was between 15-30 years of age 97 cases 63.4% ; , followed by 31-45 years 7.19% ; and then declined with increase in age. Aluminium phosphide AL-PHOS ; was found to be commonest poisoning 48 cases 31.37% ; mainly from urban areas, followed by organophosphorus compounds OCP ; . Twenty-one cases 13.7% ; mainly from rural areas. The urban rural percentage was 70.8 29.2 in AL-PHOS group and was 33.3 66.7 in OCP poisoning. The purpose of poisoning was suicidal in 82.4%, accidental in 14.4% and homicidal in 3.3%. Analysis of various causes for poisoning revealed aluminium phosphide 31.37% ; , OCP 13.7% ; , benzodiazepines 9.8% ; , zinc phosphide 7.2% ; , occorsive acids 6.9% ; , phenol 4.6% ; , mixed 5.9% ; , dhatura 2.6% ; , copper sulphate 1.96% ; , others and unknown 13.72% ; . The overall mortality in this study group was 28.8%. The mortality was directly related to the time lapse between exposure to poison and hospital admission. The presenting features in these cases were nausea 96.7% ; , vomiting 87.6% ; , epigastric pain 76.5% ; , restlessness 61.4% ; , cold clammy skin 37.3% ; , hypotension 32.10% ; , dyspnoea 28.1% ; , stupor 13.1% ; , pulmonary edema 10.5% ; , buccal burns 3.9% ; , and hallucinations 1 and benzphetamine.
We found 16 case reports describing new-onset diabetes associated with olanzapine treatment 1, 3 ; . In some cases, hyperglycemia resolved after olanzapine was discontinued, and no further treatment was needed. However, the majority of the patients still required insulin therapy or oral hyperglycemic medication 1, 3 ; . It has been suggested that ziprasidone's unique combination of relatively low histamine H1 affinity and potent serotonin 5-HT1A agonist activity may be responsible for its lower propensity for weight gain 2 ; and, possibly, abnormalities in glucose-insulin homeostasis. This case suggests that ziprasidone may be a useful alternative for patients with antipsychotic-induced hyperglycemia and azacitidine.

Although this peptide sequence is based on that of the human receptor and differs from the rat receptor by 1 amino acid, it was clearly equal to or more efficacious than thrombin at eliciting the responses of interest. Figure 1A and 1B show that the thrombin receptor peptide 100 mol L ; stimulates both DNA synthesis and migration of RASMCs. These results confirm that the observed stimulation of DNA synthesis and cell migration is mediated through the cell surface thrombin receptor. To determine whether the small G protein Rho is involved in thrombin-stimulated DNA synthesis and the migration of RASMCs, the C3 exoenzyme from C botulinum was used to ADP-ribosylate and inactivate Rho.
